We are writing policy makers to ensure that their is a priority placed on the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) in FY2020. Sufficiently funded, LIHEAP serves a vital, life-saving role protecting millions of families from America’s cold winters and hot summers. This funding is necessary if this program is to continue to allow states and their charitable partners to serve the growing need of America’s most vulnerable households.
Join us on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 for our education day at Michigan's state capitol. We reaching out to the legislature and state policy makers to explain what options in energy assistance are available to Michigan's most vulnerable families. We know Michiganders call our elected officials in times of need. Our goal is to share information and resources with their offices so they know the resources available to help Michiganders in need.
Become a supporter of the Coalition by being a part of our growing number of Michigan citizens who support energy assistance. You will receive periodic emails to keep you "in the loop."
